Puma have unveiled Senegal’s 2026 World Cup shirts carrying only one star, not two. That single symbol reflects their 2021 AFCON triumph.

The green home and white away designs were presented on Friday for the tournament running 11 June to 19 July. In a statement, the Senegalese federation said production began in August 2025, before AFCON, and could not be halted. Early images had leaked in October 2025.

Supporters quickly noted the absence of a second star. Senegal had initially beaten Morocco 1-0 after extra time to win AFCON 2025, before the title was later awarded to Morocco 3-0 by forfeit on Tuesday night.

The governing body also set out that updated shirts adding a second star are in production, with availability planned from September. It apologised for any confusion and thanked supporters for their backing.

Senegal are in World Cup Group I alongside France and Norway. Their final opponent, a play-off winner, is still to be confirmed.
