After a long and boring international break, Chelsea are finally back in action at Saturday lunchtime when they face Nottingham Forest.

On the London is Blue podcast they did a full preview of the game, taking a long hard look at our opposition who are struggling under new manager Ange Postecoglou.

“This is a Forest team with a -7 goal difference, currently in 17th place in the table. Not great times for them – they’ve got 5 points in total. Not great. This is B-A-D bad. Really, really bad. In the last 5 it’s 4 losses and a draw,” presenter Dan Dormer noted.

He also points out that they had a late collapse in form last season under their last manager, Nuno Espirito Santo, then didn’t win a single one of their 7 preseason games this year. The problems had been coming, and appointing a new manager hasn’t helped them at all.

While we never look forward to an early kick off after an international break, we are licking our lips at this one. If we go into this with confidence and aggression we should be able to take the lead against a struggling team with dreadful morale. If we then see it out, we’ve got 3 points in the bank before anyone else has kicked off.

Estevao Willian has been the other talk of the town in this international break, and a great interview with one of his former coaches reveals where he was forced to improve as a youngster.

Meanwhile, the chat during the international break has been all about comparing Declan Rice and Moises Caicedo, and Sky have done a really good piece on just that.
