Wilfried Nancy departs Celtic after one month and eight matches | OneFootball

Celtic have terminated the contract of Wilfried Nancy after one month in charge.

He arrived on 3 December 2025 as the former Columbus Crew head coach, aged 48. The club said in a statement that it thanked Wilfried Nancy for his work and wished him and his family well for the future. His departure was confirmed on Monday, the day after another defeat.

Celtic lost 1-3 to Rangers in the Old Firm on Saturday, and now trail Hearts, the Scottish Premiership leaders, by six points.

Since taking charge, Nancy won only two of eight matches. His side were beaten by direct rivals Rangers and Hearts, and they lost the League Cup final to St. Mirren 1-3.

Celtic will now seek their third head coach of the season, after Nancy and Brendan Rodgers, who left in late October.
