Leeds United minority investor Will Ferrell helped launch the 2026 FIFA World Cup at a star-studded event in Los Angeles, appearing alongside FIFA president Gianni Infantino.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the official launch party took place on Tuesday at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The World Cup begins on Thursday when joint-hosts Mexico face South Africa in the Group A opener.

Infantino was among the guests, while Hollywood stars turned out, with Ferrell posing for photos at the venue.
Ferrell became the latest celebrity investor in Leeds in 2024 as part of the wider 49ers Enterprises vehicle.
