Wilson Isidor could consider a summer departure from Sunderland, with Everton interested, according to Football Insider. The outlet reports the forward is unhappy with limited game time and may look for a new challenge if that does not change, while further summer recruitment could be the final straw.

The Frenchman began the season brightly, becoming Regis Le Bris’ first-choice centre-forward in the early weeks and scoring four goals. He has not scored since late October and has since lost his starting spot to Brian Brobbey.

During the January window, Sunderland reportedly fielded interest from a number of clubs, with Besiktas among the admirers.

Since the turn of the year, Isidor has played just 63 minutes of Premier League football. He started Sunday’s FA Cup tie against Oxford United, then was replaced shortly after the hour mark.

In late January, Le Bris said he had held many talks with Isidor and his agent, describing the 25-year-old as a really good player who remains important. He noted Brian Brobbey’s form and that young forwards, including Eli Mayenda and Isidor, experience dips in this league.

Le Bris added that Isidor’s frustration is understandable, likened his rhythm to last season and stressed the staff will support and challenge him. He said the communication is open, with expectations explained and feedback encouraged.
