Christian Pulisic was sold by Chelsea in 2023, but is now being linked with a return to the Premier League, with the typical comparisons being made.

Rumours are swirling this week that former Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic could soon be making a return to the Premier League. Arsenal are apparently interested in the AC Milan attacker.

As always in these situations, the comparison to Mo Salah and Kevin de Bruyne is being made – young players who the Blues gave up on, who would later return to the league and establish themselves as world class stars.

Pulisic’s mixed legacy at Chelsea

It would be very interesting to hear what Chelsea fans think about Pulisic’s legacy, and to know how they would feel about him coming back to the Premier League. There certainly wasn’t much outcry when he was sold.

The winger had one incredible run of form, where he was so good that he briefly looked like he was going to be one of the best wingers in the world. But a lack of consistency, and a constant struggle with small injuries, stopped him from ever being really embraced by fans or establishing himself as a top player. He’s certainly taken steps forward at Milan.

Still, comparisons with Salah and KDB are excessive. They were much younger, and had much higher ceilings when we let them go. Pulisic may be better than we thought, but he’s not going to reach those levels.

Liam Delap has been the focus of a lot of criticism recently, and an exclusive today has claimed he could move on as soon as the summer.
