True to their reputation, Portuguese clubs remain relentless in their pursuit of rare African talents. During the latest winter transfer window, they managed to attract five new players from the continent.
The Nigerian striker is set to feature for FC Porto, joining on loan from OGC Nice. Before landing in Portugal, he played 15 matches and found the back of the net three times.
The Senegalese winger has been snapped up by Sporting CP for a fee of €6.5 million from Granada CF. In the 2025-2026 season, he made 22 appearances, notching up 2 goals and 6 assists.
Vitória Guimarães secured the Nigerian striker from Serbian side Novi Pazar for €900,000. Over 18 appearances in the 2025-2026 campaign, he scored 3 goals and provided 2 assists.
The Nigerian forward was signed by CF Estrela Amadora from Armenian club Ararat-Armenia. At just 21 years old, Mathew Gbomadu boasts a market value of €200,000 according to Transfermarkt.
The Moroccan midfielder joins FC Alverca from Union Touarga. Aged 20, he featured in eight matches in the current edition of the Botola Pro Inwi, managing to score once.
