Wolfsburg and Leverkusen ‘to sign’ Hoffenheim duo Damar and Erlein

Sky Germany reports that Wolfsburg are close to signing 22-year-old Muhammed Damar from Hoffenheim, while Bayer Leverkusen are targeting fellow academy product Luca Erlein.

The recently relegated club from Lower Saxony has reached full agreement with Hoffenheim for Damar, with a medical planned within 72 hours.

Wolfsburg are expected to pay €6 million including bonuses, with €5 million near-guaranteed, plus a sell-on clause.

Leverkusen have identified 19-year-old right-back Erlein and he is expected to sign a contract until the summer of 2031.

He is then likely to be loaned to a second-division German side to build first-team experience.
