With the season over, Midlands clubs are shaping summer plans, with Wolves eyeing reinforcements, West Brom weighing moves and Villa targeting additions.
The Telegraph reports that Wolves are monitoring Coventry striker Ellis Simms. The 25-year-old is among homegrown options as they aim for an immediate return to the top flight. He scored 13 in 43 as Coventry went up and is believed to want Premier League football.
Yerson Mosquera appears set to leave Molineux after links with Besiktas. It is thought his representatives have agreed with Wolves on a sale.
Wolves are among the clubs keen on Jordan James after an 11-goal loan at Leicester from Rennes, though Leeds and sides in Europe make a deal difficult. PSV winger Couhaib Driouech has likewise been linked, with Club Brugge, Royal Antwerp and a Spanish club interested.
At West Brom, Isaac Price is attracting attention from Fulham and Crystal Palace, as well as former club Everton, after scoring nine in a survival-securing campaign. The Baggies are in the running for Spurs midfielder Alfie Devine, with Preston activating a £5m option that he has yet to accept, and Middlesbrough also keen.
Albion keeper Josh Griffiths is being considered by Stoke as a replacement for Viktor Johansson after a stop-start year, and he has one year left on his deal. Villa are tracking former Barcelona defender Oscar Mingueza, and are preparing to open talks with Galatasaray over Gabriel Sara, with the club in Türkiye seeking €35m and the player thought to be keen.
