Wolves return to pre-season ahead of Championship campaign | OneFootball

Wolves returned to pre-season on Monday as Cesar Peixoto began his tenure at Compton.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, the new head coach arrived last week and welcomed the squad back for early testing and training.

New signing Kieran Trippier was among those reporting, alongside first-team players including Andre and Mateus Mane, with loanees back at the club such as Nasser Djiga.

The squad are due to head to a training camp in Portugal soon. None of the eight World Cup players will be there, as each has three full weeks off from their elimination.

The first friendly in front of supporters is at Maidenhead United on 22 July. The club are targeting promotion back to the Premier League at the first attempt.
