Roma are exploring a potential move for Wolves forward Fabio Silva, according to SkySports as the Serie A side weigh up their summer attacking options. The 23-year-old is being considered alongside River Plate midfielder Claudio Echeverri, with Roma assessing short- and long-term additions to their squad.

Silva is attracting interest following a respectable loan spell at Las Palmas, where he registered 10 goals and three assists across 24 league appearances despite the club’s relegation from La Liga. The Portuguese striker remains under contract at Molineux but has yet to secure a consistent run in the Premier League.
With Wolves currently focused on reshaping their forward line, Silva’s future may depend on the offers that come in over the next fortnight.
Fabio Silva arrived at Wolves with promise, touted as a generational prospect, and yet his journey has meandered across Europe with more hope than substance. The Las Palmas loan showed flickers of progress, and the return of 10 goals in a relegated side should not be brushed aside.
But has Silva done enough to command a place in Wolves’ plans for the upcoming Premier League campaign? That is the central question. With Vítor Pereira tasked with pushing the club back toward mid-table stability, decisions around forwards must be made on form, not sentiment.
If Roma are serious and a deal can be struck that includes a sell-on or favourable terms, it could be beneficial for both parties. Yet part of the fanbase will ask: did Wolves ever provide the right environment for Silva to thrive?
A talented player, no doubt, but time may be running out for that talent to bloom in old gold.
