With the EFL season finished and the Premier League nearing its close, transfer talk around Wolves, West Brom and Aston Villa is accelerating. Raul Jimenez has suggested a Molineux return could be on the table, Albion are keen on Falkirk striker Barney Stewart, and Villa are linked with Real Sociedad’s Ander Barrenetxea.
According to ExpressAndStar.com, Jimenez made his remarks after Wolves’ clash with Fulham, and the forward is out of contract at Fulham this summer.
Albion are reported to have had a seven-figure bid rejected for Stewart, who is 22 and has scored 10 goals since the turn of the year. Falkirk manager John McGlynn said any deal would depend on the price, noted interest from two or three clubs, and added the board will decide whether to accept.
Stewart has also addressed the speculation, speaking about interest from Albion and elsewhere.
Villa are among a number of Premier League clubs linked with Barrenetxea. The 24-year-old can operate centrally or wide and has scored four goals this season, and it has been claimed he has a £66m release clause that Villa are prepared to pay.
