Wolves Women add Mel Filis and Hollie Olding to WSL2 squad | OneFootball

Wolves Women have added midfielders Mel Filis and Hollie Olding as their third and fourth summer signings, bolstering a squad preparing for professional football in WSL2.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, Filis arrives after leaving Italian side Sassuolo and previously made four senior appearances for Arsenal.

She has more than 80 games across London Bees, West Ham and Charlton, and earned her first Republic of Ireland senior call-up in February 2025. Dan McNamara first took notice when Wolves faced West Ham in the FA Cup in January 2023.

He felt her potential was clear that day and said signing her now was an easy call given experience in England and abroad. The head coach praised her technical ability and what she can add on and off the pitch.

Wolves have also brought in former Nottingham Forest midfielder Olding as part of their rebuild.

McNamara said they had faced her often and monitored her for a long time, making this an exciting addition for their first WSL2 season. He expects her experience of moving from tier three to the professional league with Forest to support team-mates, while her technique will be a major asset.
