Wolves face Bournemouth for the second time in a week when the sides meet in the FA Cup’s fifth round today.
Vitor Pereira’s side secured an important 1-0 in on the south coast in the Premier League a week ago and now return to the Vitality Stadium. A home loss to Fulham dented momentum, but Wolves have shown signs of improvement of late.
Ahead of the game, Pereira called winning the FA Cup a ‘dream’ but outlined his confidence in his team. Wolves have not lifted the FA Cup since 1960.
Bournemouth are searching for their first-ever major trophy. The Cherries are in the midst of an impressive campaign under Andoni Iraola and sit seventh in the table.
Vitor Pereira’s team came through the midweek clash with Fulham unscathed. Wolves remain without several senior stars, however, including January recruit Emmanuel Agbadou due to a thigh issue.
Rodrigo Gomes, Goncalo Gueses, Sasa Kalajdzic, Yerson Mosquera, Leon Chiwone and Enso Gonzalez are also ruled out.
However, there’s better news on Hwang Hee-chan who is available for the clash.
Wolves predicted XI: Johnstone; Doherty, Toti, Bueno; Semedo, Andre, Gomes, Ait-Nouri; Cunha, Bellegarde; Strand Larsen.
Bournemouth host Wolves in the fifth round of the FA Cup on Saturday 1st March 2025. Kick-off at The Vitality Stadium is 15:00 GMT.
