Nigeria's Super Falcons are set for their tenth Women's AFCON final as they face Morocco this Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Rabat's Olympic Stadium. Undefeated in finals since the competition’s inception in 1991, the Nigerians are determined to clinch their tenth continental crown.

Nigeria's women's national team takes on Morocco tonight in the final of the 2024 Women's Africa Cup of Nations. Up against the Atlas Lionesses, who are chasing their first-ever continental title, the Super Falcons enter this ultimate showdown armed with an incredible stat: they have never lost a single final since the tournament began.

Nigeria, a winning machine in Women's AFCON finals

The Super Falcons boast an exceptional record in this continental competition. Since the inaugural edition in 1991, Nigeria has claimed nine titles from nine final appearances, a display of domination unmatched in African women’s football. Their last triumph came in 2018, when they edged South Africa in a penalty shootout (4-3). Nigeria lifted the Women's AFCON trophy in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2010, 2014, 2016, and 2018.

For this 2024 edition, Justin Madugu and his squad have lived up to expectations with a flawless run: 4 wins, 1 draw, 11 goals scored and just 1 conceded.

Standing in their way, Morocco is heading into their second consecutive final, after falling to South Africa in 2022. Backed by their home crowd and a rising generation, the Atlas Lionesses are dreaming of ending Nigeria's reign and seizing their maiden continental crown.
