Ghana@ghanasoccernet
After the men's Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2025), Morocco will play host to the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON 2026).
This new edition will feature 16 nations, including Ghana, who will be eager to finally break their title drought—though the task will be far from easy against the likes of Morocco and Nigeria.
The Black Queens will make their 12th appearance at the Women's AFCON, following previous participations in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2014, 2016, 2018, and 2024.
Ghana has reached the final three times (1998, 2002, and 2006), but the elusive title has always slipped through their fingers.
In the last Women's AFCON, Ghana relied on the following players:
Goalkeepers: Kerrie McCarthy, Afi Amenyaku, Cynthia Konlan Findib
Midfielders: Nancy Amoah, Jennifer Cudjoe, Chantelle Boye-Hlorkah, Evelyn Badu, Grace Asantewaa, Jacqueline Owusu, Stella Nyamekye
March 18, 2026: Ghana vs. Cape Verde – Stade de Fès, Fès
March 21, 2026: Ghana vs. Cameroon – Stade de Fès, Fès
March 24, 2026: Mali vs. Ghana – Stade de Fès, Fès
