Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso made clear to a member of his attacking ranks before the season began that game-time would likely be difficult to come by for him moving forward.
That’s according to The Athletic, who point towards Endrick as the player in question.
Youngster Endrick is of course in the midst of what has been an altogether trying start to the campaign from an individual standpoint.
After missing the opening weeks of the term whilst recovering from injury, the Brazilian has since failed to establish himself in the plans of new manager Xabi Alonso.
In fact, with fellow starlet Gonzalo García having been favoured to Endrick in recent fixtures, the latter is yet to take to the pitch on a single occasion in 2025/26.
And as alluded to above, if the latest word stemming from the media is anything to go by, then the 19-year-old should not be overly surprised by this situation.
As per a report from The Athletic:
‘People familiar with his situation at Madrid told The Athletic that Alonso explained to Endrick it was going to be difficult for him to have regular playing time in this season’s new-look team, but he decided to stay at the Bernabeu anyway.’
