Xabi Alonso provides Kylian Mbappé update ahead of Real Madrid vs Al-Hilal | OneFootball

Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso has provided an update on the wellbeing of star attacker Kylian Mbappé.

This comes after the Frenchman set alarm bells sounding across the fanbase of Los Blancos, on the eve of their Club World Cup bow.

The Xabi Alonso era at Real Madrid is of course set to be offically kicked into gear on Wednesday evening.

As much will come by way of a Club World Cup meeting with Saudi outfit Al-Hilal, in Miami, Florida.

On Tuesday, however, the aforementioned Kylian Mbappé saw his status for the clash suddenly thrown up in the air.

This came after widespread confirmation was forthcoming that the 26-year-old had been struck down by a bout of illness.

Speaking to the media in his pre-match press conference late on Tuesday night, the topic of Mbappé’s wellbeing, in turn, was quickly put to manager Alonso.

And the Spanish tactician went on to explain:

“Kylian Mbappé? He was feeling better this morning. We will decide tomorrow, we will wait for him.”
