Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso has spoken on the warm embrace shared between he and Vinícius Jr. during the club’s latest outing.

This comes after the pair continued in efforts to put to bed claims of their alleged poor relationship.

Real Madrid were of course back in action a short time ago, locking horns with Deportivo Alavés in a La Liga clash.

Wide-man Vinícius featured from the off in the fixture, and laid on the assist for the game’s decisive goal late on, finished by Rodrygo.

Shortly after, the 25-year-old was hooked from proceedings by Xabi Alonso, a move which until very recently would likely have given rise to a frustrated outburst on Vinícius’ part.

Instead, though, the attacker made a point of hugging his manager on his way to the bench.

Speaking to the media post-match, Xabi Alonso was therefore drawn on his embrace with Vinícius.

And the Spanish tactician went on to assure:

“The hug with Vini? Inside the dressing room, we’re actually very united. There’s a lot of noise from outside.”
