Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso is facing up to one major selection headache ahead of this weekend’s showdown with city rivals Atlético.

That’s according to Diario AS, who point towards Jude Bellingham as the source of this headache.

Midfielder Bellingham is for his part of course fresh off his return to competitive action.

After sitting out the early weeks of the campaign whilst recovering from shoulder surgery, the Englishman has since featured from the bench in each of Real Madrid’s last two outings.

Now back pushing for a starting berth, though, Bellingham has left his manager facing a ‘dilemma’.

As per a report from AS, Xabi Alonso’s main doubt when it comes to his line-up for the Madrid Derby comes in the form of whether or not to thrust Bellingham back into a starting role.

In the case of as much, the expectation would be that either Arda Güler or Franco Mastantuono would be dropped to the bench.
