Yan Diomande is simply begging Liverpool to sign him. Will the Reds ultimately pull the trigger?

It's no secret that Liverpool would love to sign Yan Diomande this summer. The Ivorian lit up the Bundesliga last season and there is no better teenage winger not named Lamine Yamal.

The rise of Diomande has been extraordinary, in truth. He only broke through at Leganes at the start of 2025 but is already considered a €100m player.

Liverpool consider him that, anyway. They offered that amount to RB Leipzig earlier in the transfer window (BBC), though it was rejected.

The question now is whether they up their bid. Liverpool will be reluctant to do that, of course, as €100m is already an extraordinary fee for a young, relatively unproven player.

But Diomande is certainly making his case. The 19-year-old has put up a pretty incredible 'come-and-get-me' plea with his performances at the World Cup, with another assist coming on Thursday evening.

As Opta point out, Diomande is doing extraordinary things.
