The team sheet has just been announced for the noon kick off at Tannadice, and it threw up more than a few surprises.
Tony Ralston starts, but it’s not really a surprise due to Alistair Johnston carrying a knock. The big surprise is Stephen Welsh getting the nod to start alongside Liam Scales with CCV and Auston Trusty not even on the bench. Both players appear to be victim of the illness bug alongside winger Nicolas Kuhn
Brendan probably also thinks these player need a rest due to the recent games, and games going forward and if we can get the three points today these players getting a rest is a huge added advantage.

Luke McCowan starts in midfield while Yang gets the nod on the right hand side with Nicolas Kuhn absent and James Forrest out for six weeks.
Yang for me has a great chance to prove himself today as a first team starter at Celtic, rather than a fringe player. He’s looked the part when coming on as a sub, but he’s got to show he can do it on a consistent basis, and today is the perfect chance for him to show that he can contribute to this team and that he deserves more game time.

With James Forrest out injured and a congestive fixture list looming, this is the perfect opportunity for the South Korean to impress Brendan Rodgers.
Great to see some of the young Bhoys Bonnar and Donavan from the B-Team getting a chance with the first team today. Hopefully they’ll get some minutes.
