Yuri Alberto cements his place as Corinthians’ most-used player in 2025

Yuri Alberto has become the most utilized Corinthians player in 2025. In the most recent match, against Ceará at Neo Química Arena — in which Timão ended up defeated 1-0 — the striker reached the milestone of 51 appearances this season, surpassing goalkeeper Hugo Souza, who has 50 games but missed the last round due to a traumatic injury to his left thigh.

In addition to Hugo, two other players have also reached 50 games this year: Matheuzinho and Romero. The right-back started among the first eleven, while the Paraguayan came on during the second half, replacing Breno Bidon in the 71st minute.

Despite leading in appearances, 2025 has been the year with the least time on the field for Yuri. The center-forward was sidelined twice: first, due to a fracture in the L1 vertebra, which kept him out of seven matches; then, because of surgery to repair an inguinal hernia, which sidelined him for another five games. In previous years, the player had a full run, with 63 appearances in 2023 and 58 in 2024.

The match against Ceará also marked another major achievement: Yuri Alberto completed 200 games wearing the Corinthians jersey. Over this journey, he has scored 73 goals and provided 20 assists, numbers that make him the club's top scorer in the 21st century and the leading goal scorer in the history of Neo Química Arena. In the current season, he remains an offensive standout, leading the team's scoring charts with 16 goals and two assists.
