Yuri Alberto climbed to joint sixth in Corinthians’ Conmebol goal involvement list after scoring in their 2026 Libertadores-opening win over Platense, taking his tally to 16.

According to Meu Timao, that figure comprises 14 goals, three in the Libertadores and 11 in the Sudamericana, plus two assists.

It lifts him from a share of seventh with Ángel Romero to level with Emerson Sheik. Emerson scored five in the 2012 Libertadores, including two in the 2-0 final win over Boca Juniors at the Pacaembu.

Yuri is the only current Corinthians player on the list, which is led by midfielder Marcelinho Carioca on 50. Ricardinho is second with 23 and Luizão third with 22, while Edilson on 19 and Jadson on 18 remain ahead of him.

He will have the chance to close the gap on Wednesday 15 at 21:30 when Corinthians host Independiente Santa Fe at Neo Química Arena in group-stage matchday two. Before that, they face Palmeiras on Sunday at 18:30 in Itaquera in round 11 of the Brasileirão.
