Zamalek Dominate Al Masry to Reclaim First Place in Egypt
Zamalek bounced back in style to regain first place in the Egyptian Premier League with dominant 3 - 0 victory over Al Masry on Saturday.
The Cairo giants shook off their pre break defeat to Wadi Degla producing powerful performance that lifted them to 13 point from 6 match.
Al Masry, unbeaten until now suffered their 1st loss of the season and slipped to second on 11 point.
Palestinian striker Oday Dabbagh opened the scoring on 29 minute reacting fastest to rebound from Nasser Maher’s effort.
Captain Omar Gaber doubled the lead midway through the 2nd half (64) after combining well with Juan Bezerra.
Late controversy saw Mohamed Hashem sent off for fouling Amr Nasser inside the box. Veteran Abdullah El Said stepped up and converted the penalty (90) to complete the rout.
