The Roman club, through a press release, leaked that two of its members suffered injuries following the clash with the Viola striker.

Here are the words of the former Atalanta player reported by La Gazzetta Dello Sport:

“The truth is different: I went to the dressing rooms to congratulate the Fiorentina players and greet the players of my former team, without any rancor or resentment, nor expecting to receive it.”

“Unfortunately, when I entered the locker room I encountered (especially from some) a welcome that was both hostile and unmotivated; despite this, I reiterate that there was no physically aggressive behavior on my part.”

“I will not add anything else for the moment, out of respect for the investigations underway by the competent bodies.”

“I thank the club and all those who have been close to me at this time, continuing to support me with respect and trust, adhering to the reality of the facts.”
