Head coach Vladimir Petković has unveiled the squad list for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations. Among the call-ups is Luca Zidane, son of legendary Zinedine Zidane.

Unlike his father, who never played for an African team, Luca has chosen to represent Algeria, making his debut last October. The 27-year-old goalkeeper will now continue his journey with the Fennecs at the tournament.

Luca Zidane made his debut for the Fennecs in a World Cup qualifying match against Uganda two months ago. He is one of three goalkeepers selected for the final stage of AFCON Morocco 2025. Algeria will kick off their campaign in a group featuring Sudan, Burkina Faso, and Equatorial Guinea.
