Hannover look to revive their promotion hopes with a win over midtable side Karlsruhe on Saturday afternoon. Christian Titz’s men missed the chance to climb to the top three after successive home draws against direct rivals Elversberg and Paderborn.

Karlsruhe heavily lost to Elversberg, but they secured all but safety the previous week with an impressive 4-1 victory over Arminia Bielefeld, which saw them hit the 40-point mark. Christian Eichner’s side started the campaign in brilliant form, but they struggled for months before things started to improve in 2026.

Hannover ran out 3-0 winners in the reverse fixture back in November 2025. All the goals arrived in the space of ten second-half minutes, with substitutes Husseyn Chakroun and  Benedikt Pichler scoring the first two.
