Liverpool defeated Aston Villa 2-0 at Anfield on Saturday, and Mohamed Salah netted his 250th goal for the club across all competitions.
The 33-year-old Egyptian star expressed immense pride: “It’s a great feeling to score for such a big club. I’m so happy,” he told TNT Sports. Salah also discussed the season:
It’s going to be a tough season, with new players who need time to adapt. But we’ll progress together.
Coach Arne Slot also praised his performance:
250 goals, it’s almost unbelievable. He was outstanding in attack, but he also helped the team defensively. That’s what made his performance special tonight.
