32 BBC Sport pundits predict what will happen towards 2025/26 Premier League top end – Interesting | OneFootball

Like a lot of other media, BBC Sport have been making predictions ahead of the 2025/26 Premier League season.

Across TV and radio, BBC Sport have a massive number of pundits working covering matches.

A very wide breadth of backgrounds as well, childhood fans of numerous clubs, individuals having played for clubs across the board.

So, BBC Sport asked the following for their thoughts on what would happen towards the very top end of the Premier League.

Which four clubs would fill the top four places,

BBC Sport stating – 14 August 2025:

‘We asked 32 BBC TV and radio pundits to pick their top four, with explanations for their selections.

This time we’ve also asked AI’s opinion, and included what Opta’s ‘Supercomputer’ came up with too.

The AI prediction was generated using Microsoft Copilot Chat – we simply asked the tool to ‘predict the Premier League table for the 2025-26 season’.

Opta’s ‘Supercomputer’ is actually a complex algorithm that uses a model based on betting market odds and the sports analytics company’s own ‘Power Rankings’, which are calculated using past results.

It has simulated the outcome of all 380 Premier League games 10,000 times.’

So the results of all 34 (including Supercomputer and AI) when predicting the 2025/26 Premier League top four:

21 Liverpool, 6 Arsenal, 6 Man City, 1 Chelsea

However, when it comes to which four teams each of the 34 selected to fill the top four places, all 34 picked the same four!

Well, not much breaking of ranks there.

This compares to a year ago when ahead of the 2024/25 Premier League season, nine teams featured in the forecasted top four positions.

BBC Sport coming up with a system of four points for a first place prediction, three points for second, two points for third and one point for fourth.
