Former France national team manager Raymond Domenech has shared the contents of the diary he had written during Les Bleus’ dreaded 2010 World CupNetflix has dropped this Wednesday a documentary about the France national team’s infamous Knysna strike.

After their group stage loss to Mexico, France decided to expel striker Nicolas Anelka due to a clash with Domenech. The 22 remaining players then decided to boycott their training session ahead of their final game against hosts South Africa.

Several players such as Patrice Evra, William Gallas and Bacary Sagna agreed to take part in the documentary, and Domenech too. The former France national team has ironically called his players’ strike as their “best collective effort in the World Cup“.

Domenech’s spite also extends to certain individuals within France’s squad, including the most decorated players such as Thierry Henry. In Domenech’s words – who is keen on astrology – the Arsenal legend, born on August 17th, 1977, is “a banal self-absorbed Leo.” Girondins de Bordeaux prodigy Yoann Gourcuff, who was dropped for the Mexico loss, is “a mildly autistic moron“, according to Domenech.

Domenech, who led France from 2004 to 2010, also added in his diary that he won’t be able to “put up much longer with Gallas’ sulking.” As for Anelka, who exchanged heated words with Domenech, the latter calls the former “a complete moron” for walking past him without a look for him.
