A great Inter Youth League campaign comes to an end: Benfica win 2-3 | OneFootball

A courageous, resilient, and impressive Inter side bow out to Benfica in the quarter-finals of the UEFA Youth League. The Portuguese side demonstrated their strength early on, taking a 1-0 lead heading into the break through Coletta. Freitas' goal at the start of the second half seemed to have decided the game, but when El Mahboubi and Zouin came on, Inter found their momentum again. Zouin pulled one back for Inter with his first touch, and the Nerazzurri pushed hard for an equaliser, creating plenty of chances, only for Francisco Silva to score and make it 1-3 at the peak of their momentum. El Mahboubi's late header in the 88th minute made it 2-3 and gave way to an intense end to the match. Marello's free-kick brought hope for a dramatic equaliser, but the ball drifted just wide.
