Following his triumph in the 2025 Arab Cup with Morocco, Abderrazak Hamdallah has decided to bring his international career to an end. His departure marks the conclusion of an honorable journey wearing the Atlas Lions jersey.
A new chapter closes for one of Morocco's most prolific strikers. Hamdallah announced his international retirement to Qatari channel Al Kass after securing the trophy for Morocco with a brace in the final against Jordan (2-3).
The Al-Shabab forward made his debut for Morocco on February 29, 2012, in a friendly against Burkina Faso (2-0). Since then, he has earned 28 caps and netted 8 goals.
The Safi native was absent from the national team for many years, sometimes due to injuries, other times because of disagreements with certain coaches. He was among the heroes of the Qatar 2022 World Cup, when Morocco reached the semi-finals after eliminating Spain and Portugal.
Not called up by Walid Regragui for the 2025 AFCON, the 2025 Arab Cup thus becomes the final chapter in the career of the Saudi league's second-highest foreign goal scorer. A career crowned in the best possible way for the 35-year-old striker.
