12 Manchester City Academy players have signed their first professional contracts with the Club prior to the 2025/26 campaign.
Oliver Tevenan, Leke Drake, Kylan Midwood, Christian Dunbar-McDonald, Stephen Mfuni, Tyrone Samba, Kaden Braithwaite, Ryan McAidoo, Oliver Whatmuff, Max Hudson, Charlie Courtman and Harrison Miles enjoyed the special moment of putting pen to paper as they signed their maiden senior contracts.
To mark the latest step in their careers, each player signed their deal with Academy Director Thomas Kruecken at the CFA, with family and friends alongside them.
All of the Academy youngsters featured for the Under-18s during the 2024/25 season, helping Oliver Reiss’ side win the Under-18 Premier League North title after a 21-game winning run in the competition.
Some also played for Ben Wilkinson’s Elite Development Squad, who went on to win the Premier League 2 crown.
Tevenan, Drake, Midwood, Dunbar-McDonald, Samba, Hudson, Courtman and Miles will be looking to build on their experiences with the Under-18s for a second season as they set their sights on defending the Under-18 title.
After eye-catching debut seasons with Reiss, 17-year-olds Mfuni, Braithwaite and McAidoo have made the step up to Premier League 2 football for the upcoming campaign, and will also be ready to face the challenge of defending the Under-21 title.
After signing his first professional deal, shot stopper Whatmuff will spend the 2025/26 season on loan at National League North outfit Rochdale, where he will look to gain valuable first-team minutes.
Everyone at Manchester City sends their congratulations to these young players and wish all of them the very best of luck moving forward.
