Adam Aznou returns to Bayern Munich ahead of Club World Cup

Bayern Munich have confirmed that Adam Aznou (18) will return to the Bundesliga side early ahead of their Club World Cup participation. The Moroccan has spent the second half on the season on loan at La Liga side Real Valladolid and, like Maurice Krattenmacher, has been recalled from Ulm, allowing the duo to partake in the Club World Cup in the USA between June 14 and July 13.

“Adam Aznou has gained valuable experience at Real Valladolid and developed very well. His regular playing time proves that he’s held his own at this high level. We now want to reintegrate him into our first team at the Club World Cup so that he can take the next steps.” – Bayern Sporting Director Christoph Freund.

Aznou had played in the UEFA Youth League for Bayern Munich this season, scoring two and providing two assists in five games, as well as making his Bundesliga debut, playing 15 minutes across two games, as well as featuring two minutes in the UEFA Champions League.

After featuring for Bayern Munich in the first part of the season, Aznou moved to Real Valladolid, where he gained valuable experience, playing 874 minutes across 13 Spanish top flight games.
