There were no upsets and few close games in the fourth round of the Adobe Women’s FA Cup over the course of the long weekend.
Holders Chelsea beat WSL2 side Crystal Palace 5-0 on Saturday.
And on Sunday, AFC Bournemouth, who lead the third-tier FA Women’s National League Southern Premier, lost 6-0 to WSL leaders Manchester City.
And Liverpool, bottom of the WSL, got a much-needed win as they beat fourth-tier London Bees of the FA Women’s National League Division One South East by the same scoreline.
Swindon Town of Division One South West lost 10-0 to WSL2 leaders Charlton Athletic.
And Hull City of the Northern Premier lost 6-2 to WSL2 promotion chasers Birmingham City.
However, there will be representation from outside of the WSL when the fifth-round draw is made.
Chatham Town – also of the Division One South East – beat York City of Division One North 3-0. Both sides were seeking their place in the fifth round for the first time ever.
And Oxford United of the Southern Premier staged a superb late comeback to beat Middlesbrough of the Northern Premier, 3-1.
