Gianluigi Donnarumma is on the verge of cutting ties with Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) after falling out of favor at the Parc des Princes.
Speaking to Sky Sport via FCInterNews, his agent, Enzo Raiola, confirmed an unexpected breakdown in relations with the club.
Despite his indispensable status in Paris, Gianluigi Donnarumma has suddenly become an unpopular figure.
Indeed, head coach Luis Henrique has omitted him from the squad for tonight’s UEFA Super Cup.
PSG will take on Tottenham Hotspur without the 26-year-old, who has entered the final year of his contract.
Despite ongoing discussions, the parties could go separate ways as early as this summer.
Les Parisiens have offered the former AC Milan goalkeeper a new deal worth around €8 million net per season.
However, Donnarumma’s current wages stand at €11.5 million, which explains the disagreements.
Meanwhile, Inter Milan and Manchester City are keeping close tabs on the situation, looking to seize a potential opportunity.

“From Gigio’s words, it’s clear that he’s very disappointed,” Raiola said. “I am astonished: four years of respect and great results, and in just ten days, an entire castle has truly collapsed.
“They risk erasing everything he has achieved with PSG.
“The situation dragged on: PSG made requests different from the standard contract.
“Gigio even accepted reduced conditions; he was happy to be here, and the results came.
“When we decided to move forward, the terms suddenly changed, and we stopped everything.
“In Los Angeles, they confirmed everything to me, and I told them that Gigio had another year left and preferred not to do anything else.
“What happened in the last few days is unexpected, a huge lack of respect.
“The coach works for the club; we’ll see, with our lawyers, what position they’ve taken.”
