AI has chosen which Championship clubs will be relegated to the third-tier.
The Championship relegation battle is hotting up as we draw nearer to the end of the 2025-26 campaign.
Many sides are still in danger of falling through the dreaded League One trapdoor, with plenty of football left to be played.
Sheffield Wednesday remain rooted to the foot of the table and look all but set to drop back down to the third-tier after being ravaged by a financial mess under Dejphon Chansiri, while Oxford United have it all to do if they are to survive a second successive Championship season.
The likes of Blackburn Rovers, Leicester City and West Brom and Portsmouth are all in contention for relegation themselves, while Charlton Athletic, Norwich City and Sheffield United are far from safe despite creating some daylight from the bottom three.
The beauty of the Championship is its unpredictability, and it only takes a collapse in form to turn the tide and see the table flip as the end of the season draws in.
It is set to be an enthralling watch as all teams involved battle and scrap to save their Championship skins, with it having the potential to go down to the wire to see who will be victorious in their bids.
With this mind, FLW has asked AI which three Championship clubs will suffer relegation at the end of the 2025-26 campaign.

As per the opinion of AI, it has backed the current bottom three in the Championship standings to be relegated at the end of the season, which consists of Sheffield Wednesday, Oxford United and Blackburn Rovers.
The Owls is not much of a surprise, particularly when the Yorkshire outfit could be relegated as early as next week, sitting on -7 points at the foot of the table.
While Wednesday are so massively adrift, AI has also sourced their problems on the pitch, with the squad largely decimated and unable to find the back of the net in their previous nine second-tier outings, so it’s a case of when and not if their League One return is confirmed.
With teams still in the hunt for survival, AI has picked Oxford to be unable to beat the drop.
It believes their inability to score consistently will play a huge part in their downfall, with the U’s scoring just three times in Matt Bloomfield’s opening six games in charge.
AI also believes that the pressure of making sure not to lose every week tightens up the Oxford players, and will lead to results unable to be stabilised between now and May.
And the final relegation place goes to Blackburn Rovers, although AI believes it will be a very tight finish for the last League One spot.
It has edged Blackburn to be relegated due to their instability both on and off the pitch. Their managerial search continues to linger on while supporters continue to have a fractured relationship with the Venky’s due to their lack of investment into the club.
Meanwhile, with the playing squad, the form is a real concern. Blackburn have won just one of their last 10 Championship games, which came in a narrow 1-0 win over basement boys Sheffield Wednesday, and there is a belief from AI that the team is fragile, dropping their heads way too much when they concede the opening goal of a game.
While AI doesn’t believe Blackburn is one of the weakest teams in the division, it believes they are the weakest mentally, and that could be a deciding factor in their Championship demise.

Two clubs who will be delighted with AI’s prediction are West Brom and Leicester City, who are firmly in the relegation mix themselves.
The Baggies have been well below-par this season under the combination of Ryan Mason and Eric Ramsay, with such inexperience in the dugout leading to the players severely underperforming on the pitch.
There was some optimism last weekend against Stoke City though, with Ramsay reverting to a four at the back system that his predecessor Mason used, and the team looked generally much more solid and organised, which contributed to the team picking up a first clean sheet in 11 league games.
Going forward, Albion were still toothless, so that’s an area Ramsay has to get firing if the club are to get themselves away from the bottom three with plenty of games to spare.
AI does believe the Welshman will manage to find the answer though, with the Baggies possessing experienced players at this level who have the ability to grind out results and points that will be enough to keep them in the division.
Similarly, Leicester City are backed to use their second-tier experience to survive, which will be such a relief in worrying times for the Foxes.

Leicester have been plunged into a relegation battle following their six-point deduction from the EFL for breaching P&S rules, while they also suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Birmingham City last weekend to make it back-to-back losses under interim boss Andy King.
Despite their poor form and fragile situation, AI believes Leicester have players with either Premier League or top-end Championship experience that can decide games in one moment, while they have more technical quality than other squads surrounding them in the bottom six.
