AJ Auxerre defender Marvin Senaya has opted for Ghana after being called up by both the Black Stars and Togo in this international window.
According to L'Équipe, the right-back could win his first cap against Austria on 27 or Germany on 30.
His situation echoed that of Mamadou Diakhon, who was picked by France Under-21s and Senegal on the same day.
Senaya has Ghanaian heritage on his father’s side. Ghana were informed later but accelerated their move, with the right flank short after Tariq Lamptey suffered a serious knee injury in September. He is expected to return soon, but this camp offers an opening for the Auxerre player.
With the World Cup approaching, Ghana are in Group L alongside England, Croatia and Panama.
Senaya has played 20 Ligue 1 matches for Auxerre this season. He has agreed to link up with team-mates Elisha Owusu and Gidéon Mensah for this camp.
