Manchester City welcomed Bayer 04 Leverkusen at the Etihad Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a good result at home in the UEFA Champions League. The Mancunian giants made a slow start to the game and conceded the opening goal in the 23rd minute when Alejandro Grimaldo found the back of the net. Pep Guardiola’s men went into the half-time break 1-0 down on the scoreline.

The Mancunian club conceded the second goal in the 54th minute when Patrick Schick got his name on the scoresheet. The contest ended with Man City suffering a disappointing 3-0 loss at the Etihad.
