Al-Hilal ‘to bid’ €70m for Diaz as Bayern resist | OneFootball

According to L'Equipe, Al-Hilal are preparing an opening bid of at least €70m to test Bayern Munich’s resolve for Colombia international Luis Diaz, who is viewed as a priority signing.

The Saudi club do not want to waste time in this window. Having completed the deal for Crysencio Summerville, Simone Inzaghi's side are chasing another marquee arrival.

This operation looks far from straightforward. The report says Bayern Munich consider the Colombian a key pillar of their project and are not currently planning to sell.

Diaz arrived last summer from Liverpool and the sporting leadership retain full confidence in him. Any negotiations would therefore require a fee far beyond €70m.

Al-Hilal are relying on their financial muscle, offering packages most European clubs would struggle to match, in the hope of persuading both Bayern and Diaz.
