According to Sky Sports Deutschland, Juventus have agreed a €33m fee plus €7m in add-ons with Bayer Leverkusen for Kerim Alajbegovic.
The outlet’s report landed this afternoon, and Fabrizio Romano said negotiations were at an advanced stage.
It is a sharp twist for the Bosnia and Herzegovina international, who drew interest across the summer yet without clubs meeting the €35m plus bonuses valuation. Atalanta came closest before stepping back after a rejected proposal, while Chelsea appeared to be in advanced talks earlier today.
Juventus’ late surge seemed to come from nowhere, possibly masked by their pursuit of PSG striker Randal Kolo Muani, or perhaps connected to the loan of Lois Openda to Olympique Lyonnais.
Milan, Napoli and Roma were all linked with the teenager at various stages, and reports earlier in the window suggested he was keen to make Serie A his next move.
Alajbegovic turns 19 in September and last season produced 13 goals and four assists in 44 competitive matches for RB Salzburg while on loan.
