Demetrio Albertini played for AC Milan during some of the most successful years of the club’s history, and he feels that there are elements of that team in Inter now.
There are few players who have seen the highs of Milan like Albertini has. After all, his youth career was with the Rossoneri, as was the first 14 years of his senior career. In that time, he saw the highest highs, and it is clear to see why.
Working under Carlo Ancelotti, who is heavily rumoured to be returning to Milan, and Fabio Capello, the midfielder won five Scudetti, three Supercoppa and a Champions League, all with the Diavolo in the 90s.
Now though, he feels that he can see elements of the successes of those teams in the current Inter set-up, and admitted as much when questioned by Corriere della Sera this morning, and Calciomercato.com have relayed why he feels this way.
“Inter reminds me of my Milan. In some cases, the club must create the context for the players to perform at their best. A cohesive locker room pushes you to give more, to overcome every difficulty. I can testify to this in my dual role.”
