Alessia Russo is one of four England players who have been named on the IFFHS Women’s World Team for 2025.

The International Federation of Football History and Statistics have rewarded four England players who were part of the Lionesses’ Euro 2025 squad.

Meanwhile, another England player has been named on the Women’s Youth (U20) World Team for this year.

Alessia Russo leads England stars named on World Team 2025

Alessia Russo is one of four Lionesses who have been named on the IFFHS Women’s World XI 2025 in a team covered by players from England, Spain and Germany.

The striker is joined by Leah Williamson, who recently made her first start for Arsenal since playing in the Euro 2025 final.

The Arsenal pair were joined by Chelsea duo Hannah Hampton and Lucy Bronze.

Hampton, in particular, has enjoyed an excellent 2025, winning a host of awards in what has been a career-best year.

The England quartet have been joined by five players from Spain and two from Germany.

Ballon d’Or winner Aitana Bonmati is joined by Spain teammates Mariona Caldentey, Alexia Putellas, Patri Guijarro and Irene Paredes.

Germany and Bayern Munich pair Klara Buhl and Franziska Kett complete the team.

Michelle Agyemang makes Youth World Team

Michelle Agyemang was included in the Women’s Youth (U20) World Team thanks to her heroics for England at Euro 2025.

The 19-year-old, who is out for the season with an ACL injury, scored vital goals in England’s knockout phase games with Sweden and Italy.

She has been included in the World Team for players aged 20 and younger, with players representing seven different nations making the XI.

Among those to make the list is Spain’s Vicky Lopez, who won the IFFHS Women’s Best Youth Player award.
