Alex Sandro’s future at Flamengo in 2027 is uncertain, with the full-back not guaranteed to be at the club next year.
The 35-year-old’s deal runs until December 2026, and he has not decided whether to renew. According to GE, he wants to scale back his workload and is considering a move to a club with a lighter schedule.
Flamengo signed Alex Sandro in August 2024 after he left Juventus. Wearing the number 26, he has made 66 appearances with one goal and two assists, and has lifted the Brasileiro, Copa do Brasil, Libertadores, Supercopa do Brasil and two Cariocas.
Contracts for Everton Cebolinha, Danilo and Bruno Henrique also expire in December 2026. Danilo, the centre-back, is weighing up retirement at the end of the year.
Cebolinha’s situation is unclear after limited minutes under Filipe Luís, and he has expressed a desire to leave. Bruno Henrique is already in talks over a new deal to the end of 2027.
Flamengo’s next match is against Remo at the Maracanã on Thursday 19, at 20:00 Brasília time, in the seventh round of the Brasileirão.
