Alexander Isak is currently over in San Sebastian.

The Spanish media outlet is reporting that Alexander Isak is working with a personal trainer.

The report stating that the former Real Sociedad striker was using the facilities at his old club’s Zubieta training on Wednesday.

Alexander Isak said to be working with a fitness trainer as he recovers from his injury and continue his preparations for the start of next season.

Not exactly a shock to hear this reported, as no doubt if Isak had been using the Newcastle United training ground this week, the media would quickly have found out and with only one way in and out of the NUFC training ground, it would have only added to the media circus.

I think we can take for granted that Alexander Isak is doing this with Newcastle United’s permission, returning to familiar surroundings with such an intense spotlight on his situation.

Newcastle United play Tottenham on Sunday before returning from their Far East tour, so unless anything happens in the meantime, you would imagine Alexander Isak will be back with Eddie Howe and the rest of the NUFC squad around Tuesday or so next week.
