Alexia Putellas expected to leave Barcelona for the WSL | OneFootball

Two-time Ballon d'Or winner Alexia Putellas is set to confirm her exit from Barcelona ahead of a rumoured move to the Women's Super League.

Various Spanish outlets suggest that Putellas will leave the club with Alfredo Martínez of Onda Cero reporting that the announcement of her departure will be made tomorrow with London City Lionesses her expected destination.

Putellas has been at Barcelona for 14 seasons in which time she has won 10 league titles, 10 Copa de la Reina trophies, as well four Champions Leagues with what is potentially her last appearance coming in the 4-0 final victory over OL Lyonnes last weekend.

The 32-year-old had been linked with Paris Saint-Germain last season but would be a considerable coup for London City should the deal be completed.

This season, Putellas has featured in 42 games in all competitions for Barcelona, scoring 20 goals and making 12 assists.
