Alexia Putellas to leave Barcelona after 14 seasons | OneFootball

Alexia Putellas will leave Barcelona at the end of the season after 14 seasons with the club, where she is captain and an icon.

The club said in a statement that she would depart once the campaign concludes.

She will be honoured on Wednesday at Camp Nou, then say goodbye on Sunday against Madrid CF at 16:00, her final match for Barça.

Putellas joined in 2012 aged 18. She has made 507 appearances, the second most in club history behind Melanie Serrano on 516, and is the all-time top scorer with 232 goals.

Her haul stands at 38 trophies, including 10 Liga titles and 4 Champions Leagues, the latest lifted on Saturday after a 4-0 win over OL Lyonnes in the final.

She also won the Ballon d’Or in 2021 and 2022, becoming the first player to claim the award more than once before team-mate Aitana Bonmati matched and then surpassed her. At 32, she is not expected to end her career.
