Alfonso Pedraza ‘to join’ Lazio on summer free transfer | OneFootball

According to Alfredo Pedullà, Lazio have an agreement for Alfonso Pedraza to join on a free transfer in July.

Lazio have targeted the 29-year-old to bolster their full-back options. A Villarreal academy graduate, he is out of contract and has turned down renewal offers.

A January deal has been floated via a cut-price agreement, but a mid-season switch remains unlikely, with Villarreal viewing him as important.

Unless a replacement is secured, the Spanish club are keen to keep him until the end of the campaign.

For Lazio to make space, Nuno Tavares would need to depart, and he has been linked with a move to Besiktas in recent days. A change of the guard this month is still possible, albeit likelier late in the window.

Pedraza has made 21 appearances this season in all competitions, scoring one goal and supplying three assists.
