Brazil and Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson has spoken warmly about training alongside 18-year-old Flamengo prospect Leo Nannetti during the national team’s World Cup preparations. According to Coluna Do Fla, he highlighted the youngster’s attitude and potential in camp.
Alisson said they have been working together every day, describing Nannetti as eager to learn and already showing significant promise. He noted the goalkeeper is experiencing a rare opportunity at his age, one he himself did not have at 18. Alisson added he had heard of Nannetti through Filipe Luís and praised his focus, calling it essential for the position, and said he believes the teenager has many good things ahead.
Carlo Ancelotti named 26 players to represent Brazil at the World Cup. With goalkeeping coach Taffarel working with Alisson, Ederson and Weverton, Nannetti was invited to help bolster the training group.
Nannetti has been involved throughout Brazil’s preparations at Granja Comary, taking part in every session. On Monday (01), he travelled with the squad.
He will not feature in friendlies or at the World Cup, as he is not on Brazil’s official list submitted to FIFA.
Brazil have one more warm-up, facing Egypt at 19:00 Brasília time on Saturday (06) in the United States.
